| Re: Rifle 6.5 shafts vs. S300 The more I play, the more I wonder if 'too stiff' shafts can be blamed for directional problems. I don't think I'm convinced that too stiff affects direction (although I DO plan on making a few test clubs over the winter).
Too weak a shaft, I can see how you could get it kicking at all the wrong places, making it tough to hit shots straight. Conversely, if you don't load the shaft (too stiff), I don't quite understand how your directional control would suffer too much. Distance? Yes. Control? No. In fact, if ashaft is too stiff, I figure all your shots would be straight. Maybe pulled, maybe pushed, but I don't think they'd bend too much.
