When I played the Brab it was hanging down with rain and the course was about as wet as I have seen a course that is still in play. It was a pity cos we had been planning the day for so long. The front nine was a total write off cos we couldnt hold onto our
clubs after the first 3 holes. So we limped along to the halfway house and decided to shelter for a while to see if the rain let up. Oddly enough it did and we were able to start the back nine rain free. Of course the place was still like a sponge. We had been playing off the back tees and we found out that they actually play the Ryder Cup matches from a tee in front of the forward tees at the 10th. Since there was no danger of safely making the carry in the conditions we decided to play from the back tees (not sure why, I didnt have a score going) so I ended up hitting 2 iron - 9 iron. Made my 4 so I was pleased enough.
Its a great course, did you play PGA National at all, Killer? Its a great course as well. The whole thing was a bit let down by the Derby Course being a bit of a field, it should be ok when its a bit more mature though.
