If I remember correctly Ping always used taper tip shafts so this is what mikethemechanic is referring to.

Indian is on another thread now and mhchung has been told he should have reg. rather than stiff. While there may be no tight standards in golf I suspect True Temper know something about shafts and a TX90 R will be in the reg ball park.
Ping had this concept of an iron with a light head and a short/stiff shaft for control. Now that Karsten isn't around things might have changed, but mhchung might be better off to simply go with the Reg. Ping shaft. Thats what I'd do.

Promax is mikethemechanic? Are you sure? I would be careful about that G1. Apologies may be in order to Promax if it is not the case. mikethemechanic may just be someone (anyone) who has taken a dislike to Golfone. The web has a large population.

Regardless of what people say the shaft is not the engine of the club, the golfer is. That is why some people need X or stiff over Reg. The golfer has a bigger engine.
