To support what Golfbald has said I posted a message a few weeks ago because, I too, lost my way a little at what I thought was the top. My problem was nothing much to do with position at the top but my backswing. I had began to lock my right knee a little and this put me out at the top.

Some pros such as Slamming Sam used to lock their right kness too but this is not the way I taught so it felt kinda strange when it was happening - I've groved mine into keeping it flexed. Luckily enough, I diagnosed the problem myself and didn't suffer too much.

So, as you've seen, the problem may not be what you first thought. If you're an accomplished player it would be a good idea to follow Golfbald's advice and check yourself out in the mirror if you can, but this is only really effective if you are able to recognise your good swing against the fault you've developed. Don't forget to report back here and tell us your findings please.
