The way it should be decided

I really don't know how the PGA player of the year is worked out but in my opinion there is a specific way to determine who should recieve the award

1) Find the golfers average score for 18 holes.

2) Check the course rating to ensure that good rounds were recorded on all types of difficulty levels.

3) Make sure for example that the average score isn't with great deviations. eg. 59,81,61,75,61,63,89,76,78= 55.6

Although this is a great average it is still too inconsistant to label someone the player of the year.

eg. 63,62,65,64,61.67.68,65,63,69,67,68= 65.17. This is player of the year material even though other mans average was 10 strokes better.

4)If then 2 or more players are too hard to distinguish look at prizemoney earned.

This would be my system of working out the prize. So according to me someone like Mike Wier, Vijay Singh are in with a chance.
