| Re: Five Lessons I too, think it is one of the best golf books ever written. There are however a couple of caveats to keep in mind.
Hogan, through his career, was always fighting a severe hook. Some of his advice in the book is things he learned to keep the hook influence from overtaking his game. His emphasis on the really strong grip and his advice on practicing with the right thumb and index finger removed from the club shaft conciously or subconciously are designed in part to reduce hooking tendencies.
I only mention this because I was surprised to hear this. Remember, the book is over 50 years old. It's just something to keep in mind.
