I just read your post again and need clarification. Lets start with the hinge breaks and adjustments. The tool to adjust the hinge is to help you depending on how much help your swing might need. For example, I have the hinge adjusted so if I have the slightess flaw in my swing then the hinge will break ( thats what its supposed to do). Others knowing their swing need work can adjust it so it will not break unless there is a major flaw in the way they presently swing the club. Again, this is why you have a tool to adjust the hinge. Its for your convenience, so no matter what your level of swinging the club you can get immediate feedback as to what improvements you need to make. Its not to fix the hinge because or when it breaks. If you you were constantly making adjustment with the hinge then your swing has flaws and these were the areas you needed to work on. By the way, I'm trying to get my friend with the Medicus to sell it to me ( I would love to have both) since he doesn't use it. Unfortunately, although he paid his money for it, he doesn't see how it's breaking during his swing is a benefit and how this will help him improve his game (Unbelievable). Anyway, both clubs if used the way they were intended will help anyones game if they will just get themselves out of the way and let the training aid do what it was made to do.
