| Re: Nassau's (the game) Hey James,
my usual sunday foursome has about a 15 to 20 stroke spread from best to worst. So to add a little "pressure" or effort if you will to the round we sometimes play bingo/bango/bongo. you get one point (bingo) for first on the green (regardless of stroke count, just who got on from farthest out), one pt. for bango, which is closest to the pin after everyone is on, and one for bongo, which is longest putt made. usually the bet is 1/2 dollar a point.
Works well to even things out really. If you are a shorter hitter off the tee you got first chance at bingo. and if you dont hit the green in two and are left just on the fringe, you should be able to chip closest then and get bango. and the bet makes everyone work just a bit harder to make the putt and get bongo. Seems to makes you work all of your approach shots just a little more focused.
peace
Doug
