The Oil Well Fire-fighter

A group of guys in Penzance Cornwall decided to start up an oil well firefighting team. They called themselves Trebascus and Co and purchased an old long wheelbase land rover, some ladders, buckets and fire beaters. They placed some adverts in the Oil Well monthly then sat back and waited for a call.

Shortly after a mother of all oil well fires broke out in Saudi Arabia and they called for Red A'dere to come and put it out, unfortunately he was papering his hall and landing that weekend and said he could not make it, he did say there was a new outfit in Penzance that they could try.

Trebascus and Co were alerted and they rushed into action. The next day a Hercules transporter flew in to a temporary airfield by the oil well, stopped 100 yards from the fire, the ramp opened up and the land rover with all the Penzance lads came hurtling down the ramp right into the centre of the oil fire, the lads all jumped out and started stamping on the fire, throwing buckets of water, swatting their fire beaters.

An hour later the fire was out and the local Sheik came over to Mr Trebasco and said "That was the bravest thing I have ever seen, you are all so brave the way you went straight into the fire. I will award you one million dollars and what will you spend it on?"

Trebasco scratches his head then says "The first thing I will spend it on is fixing the brakes on that bloody Landrover"

Brian,

As I have become lazy of late and not posted much, here is my opportunity to make you laugh ( maybe)

An old dear decided to trade in her car, so she heads to the nearest dealer which happens to be mercedes benz. In the showroom she is pottering around and sees a soft top kompressor. She bends down to open the door and look at the interior. As she bends she involuntarily breaks a little wind. The salesman approaches and she asks: "Sonny, how much is this beautiful machine" ? To which he replies : " Madam, if you fart after touching the cloth, then you will s..t yourself at the price!!!!
