I've gone and done it now!!!!

I thought that I was reaching the stage in my life when I can start to wind down. My youngest child of six is now 12 and getting his own independence.

No such luck!

"Her in doors" has just informed me that getting off the bus one stop early isn't enough, she's pregnant with my seventh. The "change " is a risky time apparently. Didn't know that!!!.

Oh well he or she will be leaving school when I'm sixty two. So much for early retirement.

Re: I've gone and done it now!!!!

Hey garbologist, congratulations to both of you! Having children is always good news, yes indeed!

Keep on practicing your golf!! It's not too late when you're 62 to join the European Seniors Tour and make a few squids late in life. It would of course, have been better to join the Tour when you're 50, retire with a heap of cash at 52 and then take it easy!

7 kids! I have 3 and that's enough for me. I went the day after my daughter was born and told the doc he had to turn me into a thoroughbred gelding! No more chances or getting off the bus 1 stop early and stuff. I don't think I could survive a shocker like that again.

Any of your kids play golf? If we could get them all playing golf, chances are there is a star in there ... Plan A is: Mom on the bag working for a living as caddy while Dad manages from headquarters and the youngster playing for Dad's retirement money! Plan B would be for Dad to be caddy/manager while the youngester plays for Dad's retirement money. Plan C, if needed, is for the youngester to carry his own damn bag and play for Dad's retirement money.

Congratulations again!

I think I'd honestly like that many kids (if I could provide a decent life for them all - including paying for education)... but not with your spacing, garbologist!

Congrats on the new one coming!
