Today, I witnessed/was part of the strangest anomaly I've ever seen in basketball:

A Shutout.

I coach at the local high school, and my team (13 and 14 year olds) shut out the competition today; 78-0.

I've never seen a basketball game where one team scores no points... just thought I'd share my pride in my boys!

There is something wrong with that. Not to take away from them, but to question the opposition.

The strange part is that when we played @ their gym, they scored 30 points (they still lost, by 40 or so)... but I've never seen a team in basketball not make even one bucket.

I've seen bad teams in leagues get badly beaten, scoring only 6 or 8 points, but never a shutout.
