Promising start - playing Stevie G wide with a holding midfielder has worked ok for Liverpool!

The BIG question though is what he was doing as assistant? clearly he disagreed with Ericsson so why didn't he have the integrity to either say so or resign.

I dislike McLaren and believe that he will not bring any more success to England than we've enjoyed the last 20 years or so. We need an intellect that can transform the current way we play. Yes, sticking Stevie G out wide is long overdue but people have been saying that for 2 years now. Playing Phil Neville and Wes Brown more truly reflects McLaren's mindset.

Have you noticed how small McLaren's head is when sitting alongside Terry Venables? It's like a Tangerine alongside a Grapefruit.
