BEST driving cum golfing holiday

Folks, searching out the top driving / golf holidays you guys might have taken. Do share or map out the journey for me / us.

It has to have, good roads and easy to navigate, stuff for the kids & wife to do & golf courses worth playing.

Most likely, English speaking countries like Canada, USA, UK & Australia only. (2 small kids in tow)

Top of my list is Alberta-banff-calgary route but would like more suggestions. My wife wants the scottish highland route from manchester, is that a good drive?

We'd love to have you visit the States. One of my favorite areas is Northern Michigan.

You would want to fly into Detroit. 4 hours north on the coast of Lake Michigan is the Bay Harbor Resort. Bay Harbor is part of Boyne Companies. You will have a choice of 9 top tier golf courses to play, with Bay Harbor course being the premier course.

While you are golfing the wife & kids will have the beaches/sand dunes of Lake Michigan to enjoy. Non-golfing attractions in the area include Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Mackinac Bridge, Mackinaw Island & Fort Mackinac. There is fishing and shopping in Petoskey, Charlevoix & Traverse City. Prime months for this trip are June through September.

These links give a list of every course in both NS and NB, Canada as well as links to every golf course in Canada. For the highlands thing, Nova Scotia is the best place to go, especially Cape Breton which has IMHO the most beautiful golf course in the world...Cape Breton Highland Links

How about Myrtle Beach? About a million golf courses, plenty of things to keep the family occupied, beautiful beach...........def. worth looking into.

thanks for the suggestion. it was on my list but from where I am, there is no flights there and the nearest Intl airport is NEW YORK!!!...so i guess it would be just to far.
