Go Irons!

I used to favour Liverpool. Being danish, I have been subject to the danish TV-channels match selection and they tend to focus on the major clubs like Liverpool, ManU, Chelski and Arsenal, leaving us fans with little to choose from.

Having been a dedicated fan of danish side Lyngby since 1979, I chose the club whose fans seemed the most dedicated, and few can beat the Kop in all its glory.

Except a few years ago when an english friend of mine took me to Upton Park to watch West Ham v. Tottenham.

Hearing the terraces sing "Forever blowing bubbles" won me over in just about 2 seconds. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

So GO IRONS
(Losing Teves to the dark side wasn't part of the plan, though)

It's a largely Euro board... if they meant NFL, they'd a said 'merkan football.

But THAT said, I'll take the Pack in the NFC, and am Silver and Black from way back in the AFC.

And to totally and completely threadjack:

Baseball - Chicago White Sox
Hockey - Toronto Maple Leafs (although if the Preds move to Hamilton, my loyalties will quickly change)
Basketball - I've always had this affinity for Golden State - ever since the Hardaway/Mullin days.

You have to understand. I'm a Leafs fan by marriage. Before that, I was a Bruins fan - mostly because of #77.

Forgot about TO FC. Just as well they play in red and white (Canada's colours) and not blue and white (Toronto Maple Laffs colours) as I would have nothing to do with them.

Ahhh ... Ray Bourque. Talk about a carreer grinding hockey player. So unfair that he had to leave Boston to get at lord Stanley's cup.

I have a Yellow Bruins #77 third jersey in my closet. I'll take that over a Gretzky shirt any day.

Apart from that, I too root for the Leafs, but that is mainly because of Tie Domi - that is one hard arse hockey player!

As mentioned above, I kinda have a thing for big hearts!

NFL: Any team that will GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER AND SIGN MORTEN ANDERSEN!!!

NHL: Toronto Maple Leafs (even though I would have prefered them playing in the Gardens)

NBA: LA Lakers.

MLB: Been to Fenway once during the drought ... big hearts again, so Red Sox for me.

International football: West Ham & Liverpool in the UK, Werder Bremen in Germany, Lazio in Italy, Deportivo La Coruna.
