| Golfbald,
Man, that's a menacing picture you've chosen!
You are correct. I found that if I opened my stance while keeping my right elbow in, actually helped me straigten out the ball from a monster banana slice! This was my swing pattern about 20 years ago, and I used it just with the driver. Today, in my early 50's, I seldom slice at all, and over time, have readjusted my stance back to near normal.
By coincidence, I too practice hitting 2 fades, 2 straight, and 2 draws, repeatedly when I'm on the range. It really helps out on those dog-legs that start at about 150 yds from the tee. As a weekender, it's really satisfying when you can intentionally make it bend.
Have fun, or let me play through!
