Chipping Fundamentals

Here is a list of the fundamentals for chipping

I also included a great acronym to go along with it to remind you of the fundamentals.

First lets describe the fundamentals.

Take a narrow stance, by this I mean feet close together parallel left of your target, for advanced players open your stance

The reason for this is to keep the majority of weight on your left side.

You want the weight on your left side to promote a descending blow into the ball ensuring crisp contact.

Place the golf ball in the back of your stance, by this I mean off of your back foot.

(For advanced players you may move the ball around in your stance for specialty shots) It should be moved no further forward than sternum.

Here is the acrnoym you can use on the course

B-Ball back in stance
L-wieght on left foot
T-tilt the shaft forward(this will happen naturally when you place the wieght on your forward foot)

Good Luck
