ARGH! DIVOTS!!!

IF your gonna Divot, please at least drop sand in the hole when your done.
Too many golfers just hit, and drive off. "thats what the maintenace people are for".
Do you realise it takes me over 50 minutes just to drive the 18. Forget stopping and filling holes. I got more important stuff to do, like Fertilise, Cut, Irrigate and try to fix makrs on the green hills where some old fart had driven his golf cart (even though the sign says not to)

K.
Im working on a tournament course. Only two fairways are "close" together. None are touching. (5 & 6 run parralell out and back). We got concreat cart parths, and about 50 Carts (around 25 are used per day during off peak season, all 50 + about 15-20 per day more during peak season). Tones of trees, lots of roughs and some rather interesting bunkers.

Check this:
TEES PAR YARDS SLOPE USGA
Championship 72 6891 132 73.00
Middle 72 6427 128 71.10
Forward 72 5216 124 70.10
Other 72 5911 122 68.30

A 6 man crew
In the AM we have about 2.5 - 3 hours before the sun comes up and the golfers start. In that time we gota:
Cut the greens (every day)
Move the Tees (every day) (4 per hole)
Cut the fairway (every second day)
Cut the roughs (every 3-4th day One guy can do the whole course in 4 days, so on the 5th day hes gotta start over)
Cut the Tees, collars and approaches (every second day)
Rake / Fluff the bunkers (every 2nd day)
Maintain the Putting Gree, Driving Range, and all the greens (every day for the greens, every second for the GP and DR)
Im sure I forgot something.....

Okay.
Rant over....
Sorry.... :-)
