Shooting in the 80's after 6 months you are well ahead of most I teach. After 6 months most are shooting in the 100's.

To answer your question, the thing to look out for is the leading edge being straight to the target. On offset clubs, from a setup position they tend to look open. A blade will look the opposite, more closed. Take a setup position and let a friend move the club head to straight ot take some pvc pipe and a T connector. Put your heels on the straight peice and setup to the extention withthe leading edge straight on the pvc. This is also a very useful alignment drill.
