Re: The new age of Hybrids

I just have a mental block with the damn things, I want to like them and really desperately want them to be the club I can take out in the rough from 220 into the wind and produce a shot to the green, but they just arent. In the main they are overpriced (1 and 2 irons are 40-60 bucks, new, guys) and cumbersome, can someone tell me how they managed to make a club the same size as a 975F 5 wood head look ugly, the Titleist is a smashing looking club.

The same goes for hitting them, at least the main manufacturers have realised that you really need and 85+ gram graphite shaft on them to get the best results but some of the early ones with standard cut down fairway wood shafts are just nasty.
