I've heard two arguments on loft creep.
Arguement 1:
Loft creep is the byproduct of companies trying to be longer. Start bending all the
clubs strong, and players start gaining more distance.
Arguement 2:
Loft creep is the byproduct of game improvement designs. Oversized cavity back
clubs would never get off the ground at 'old school' lofts.
I back argument 1. The argument that an oversized cavity back iron can't get the ball up is bogus. Now, instead of hitting a 30° 5 iron, I hit a 30° 6 iron - in an oversized cavity back model - and it goes just fine.
