What adjustments do you need to make in the chipping stroke to hit a soft high chip?

Lets say im 10 foot off and have a small bank to carry but the pin is on the short side facing me. I want to chip it high and stop it quickly but I dont want the risk of a lob/flop shot? I can hit great low running chips with wedges but im not quite sure how best to play a softer one with higher carry?
