Re: Just ordered mine! Yup i realise that Brian. Im not expecting some miracle cure. Ive read alot of tuition material and watched lots of instruction videos, but never had the time or facilities to put into practise. But I have recently joined a club that has some decent facilities, so I am hoping to practise as much as playing this summer. So I can certainly commit the time to any methods/drills the book advises. ![]()

Re: Just ordered mine! Cheers fellas. Looking forward to it arriving. I love the idea of giving up any swing thoughts. Come to think of it when things are going really bad on the course and my card is already wrecked I sometimes just swing without even thinking about it and end up hitting further than I normally do!

Re: Just ordered mine! I bought the book and it is very good. However, I don`t like going to the range to practise and anyway, it`s a bit far away, so I go out on to the course on my own and put a tee about an inch in front of the ball and aim to hit the tee out of the ground (the ball just gets hit because it is in the way). I play a few holes like this and I find that I really do hit the ball with the sweet spot of the clubface. I feel it`s the same as hitting at the leaf as described in the book. I know I shouldn`t really be practising on the course but Im only ever hitting one ball. I`m wondering (and I hope I`m not hijacking this thread) how I could practise Skill 2 on the course. Any ideas?

Re: Just ordered mine! Hi Arny, It should be quite easy mate, all i do is make sure my alinement is good, then look at the ball and hit it as described in the book. Focus on the nail is the clue for me, then do a few waggles from the inside like the intended path of the club, as for skill 3 if you finish with the club behind your head then you have do it without effort. watch this clip of Hogan, Watch the waggle 4.11 minutes in.....!!!!!!! Hope this helps Ian. Last edited by Ian Hancock; 06-03-2008 at 06:42 AM.

Re: Just ordered mine! Man I hope this book arrives soon. Had a stableford outing at work today and it was terrible. I seem to have completely lost any capability to use my driver (which used to be my only steady part of my game). Looking forward to trying a new approach!

| Re: Just ordered mine! Ha, very funny........ Truth of it is, it was like that for my game, trumpets and all............I have always been very technical and played golf for many years getting in my own way, constantly working on one thing and another. With 3SKs it is not a swing thought, it is something you are trying to achieve, how you achieve it doesn't matter, it takes alot to let go of swing thoughts and trust yourself. I started last August after the GTO golf day, which blew me away with this strange concept, I can say hand on heart I have read this book about 10 times now, every month or so I just refer back to it, and go back to the basics, because the problem is you do drift back to swing thoughts outside the book every now and then, this is when I go back to it. Needless to add you won't be disappointed at all Ian.
