| Does 3Skills advocate 'hitting'? Havent read the book but for those that have does it advocate a 'hitting' procedure where you would uses the muscles of the right arm and hand to push down through the ball with angeld hinging? i.e. the club is more closed going back and more open going through, there is very little roll of the arms? http://www.golf-tuition-online.com/g...-swinging.html |

Paul, Just to reinforce what Bruin said: 3Skills works on imagery like holding out your left hand then swinging back your right and clapping the right down into the left. It uses the imagery of hitting nails into the ball at differing angles depending on the club in use and hitting the ball out to the right of target and it drawing back. The main concept is what happens to the clubface as it passes through the impact zone, it does not care how you achieve it and suggests that if you concentrate on the 3 skills then your swing will take care of it's self. The 3 skills are : 1) making ball then turf contact 2) contacting the ball at the widest part of the swing arc 3) moving the clubface from open to closed through impact. There are many drills, pictures and imagery in the book that would be difficult to explain here but for the price it is a gem, it's simplicity is a revelation.
