I dont know but a discussion is a 2 way conversation about PRO's and CON's and those who need and are asking for help, but not the way this thread has headed, with people chipping in every now and then saying its shit, it dont work you need lessons, maybe not used those exact words but if you read this thread from start to finish as I did to catch up (been away) then you can see my point.

Cheers peeps
Hi to the Arden posse hope all goes well

Re: i used the 3 skills and nailed it!

Not quite sure what you meant dude.
I meant that you are not in the "so called firing line" your posts seem to tell me you are enjoying and improving at the same time, I was just reiterating that.
Robin is i think on the fence and requires more knowledge and understanding, as for some others well their opinion is theirs and once given is enough. As for somebody being a prophet etc etc etc
You know the peeps I am aiming at ????
Cheers

Now, I may not have read every post in this thread but I got the impression that those with doubts on the method had been, or are, trying to implement the 3SKs but without much success. One commented that his game had actually deteriorated as a result. That isn't a case of trying to dismiss the whole idea; it's feedback that's as valid as others saying it has improved their game.

For others, who haven't got the book, it's quite reasonable to ask for more detail on the method and, I suppose, even to question the principles if they wish. From my perspective, I like the book. It's not the Holy Grail of golf but it makes a genuine contribution and is a refreshing change from the endless instruction tips which centre upon magical hip moves, elbows, ankles, knees and everything else.

More generally, anything should be up for discussion here and people should be allowed to express their views however they wish (within the confines of sensible behaviour). Why the implied attempts to shut certain people up or censor their views? If you don't like them, don't read them.

Re: i used the 3 skills and nailed it!

Get off your high horse dude and read my posts properly, discussion advice opinion all ok. Slagging it off as well as the peeps saying how good it is, is not. I am all up for discussion but not senseless "it wont work it,it wont work, it wont work" sounding like a child trying to get his xbox to play.
I have stated several times my comments are meant for 1 or 2 peeps only.

Seems I have stirred up a hornets nest
Peace to those who are innocent in this

Re: i used the 3 skills and nailed it!

Greg its probably best to close this thread and keep the other i have started for people to discuss their experiences, ask advice and the pros & cons. That way anyone who has other ulterior motives need not go into the other thread.
What you think??
Cheers Keith

Yes, I agree that as long as people give a considered view based on fact and experience they are entitled to agree or disagree with the system.

Re: i used the 3 skills and nailed it!

I woke up this morning to find some kind PMs in my mailbox suggesting that I reconsider leaving the forum; coupled with some of the comments in the thread today I, if no one else , am pleased to say I'M BACK

Had to come back really if only to tell Bulldog that I passed my ADI Part 2 this morning - he'll know that feeling - so my life style career change is gaining momentum.

Re: i used the 3 skills and nailed it!

Third time lucky

I wrote this on a previous page Twice:

I have just returned from the British Masters, I followed the winner Westwood, Monty, Sterne, Poulter and many more:

1) I pre-shot the same
2) I set-up the same
3) I use the same equipment
4) I swing on the similar plane
5) My ball position is the same
6) I use the same balls
7) I look stronger than a few, some are tall, some are short, fat and thin also..!!!

So I ask myself what is different It is there ball striking, it is so much more solid and powerfull.......?????

How is this achieved I ask myself...................3skills springs to mind.

I can believe that I have posted this note 3 times now and not one person has picked up on the meaning or the notion that this is the thinking behind the 3skills book.....................................for goodness sake ask yourself what is different between you and a pro....!!!!

Welcome back Robin: ADI....Advanced Driving Instructor............or.........Advanced downswing Instructor.

Ian.

LOL, The first unfortunately (as a trainee for a while and until the Part 3 is conquered) much as the second sounds more attractive.
