To explain my feelings with this 'different' concept.................of course I hit the ball pretty well anyway, I can safely say that I know the golf swing inside out, and could spot a fault a mile away.

The thing is for me, this concept seems to eliminate any swing thoughts, yet still focuses your mind on something, I have always advocated my 'switch off' over the ball or hit balls without thought, but I have learned the golf swing, so I feel I can safely do this.

3skills, is different in the way that I hit everything with "COMMITMENT" and agressively through the ball alday down to my last approach shot during my last comp. WHY because all I focused on was impact................you don't think of one of the skills imparticular, or even all of them at once................you know what to do and just focus on doing all (3).....!!!

I have heard many times that when you work on a drill etc, you forget to hit the ball because you were busy focusing on the backswing or drill etc, with this the drill or focus is directed where it should be..."Hitting the BAll" from the right path, angle, through it...................non of this ball gets in the way of a beautiful swing....................you are simply doing what your suppose to......that is hit the ball with the clubface.

Keep up the good work Cmays, but please try the 3skills, I would be interested to hear your thoughts once you have tried it.

I have now read the book (Don't have the tee shirt yet) and with an open mind had an initial session with the concepts during a Club Night round yesterday evening.

I did find the concepts easy to take on the course as you can apply them more as images than complex thoughts. The truth of the matter was that I hit some great shots when I kept the images in my minds eye and came off very pleased with the round.

As Slats reminded us "Two swallows do not make a summer" so I will try some more over the coming weeks and report back.

Congratulations on the Divisional Cup victory Ian - glad to see the 3 skills concepts are making a real difference.

I'm yet to read the book but from the presentation/coaching that we got from Kevin in Birmingham it has improved my understanding of what you are supposed to achieve at impact - this knowledge alone (which I don't believe many players have, even the good ones) can only help to improve your game.

Also, it is likley to reduce the number of swing thoughts that you have which can only be a good thing.

whatever anyone thinks, 3skills has helped this golfer to a nett 60 on home course,a nett 70 on a course played for the 1st time and a 29 (9 holes) at home again in his last 3 outings!

I've already read the book. I'm a fast reader; I have to be, in my job. And the style of writing is very clear and direct. I'm going to be playing tomorrow morning, so there's no time to practice, but I'll make an effort to keep my thoughts on the three skills and see what happens. Then I'll get around to some practice next week.

just take your time, practice the drills correctly and you will soon reap the rewards!
