My family is not allowed to buy me golf equipment - too many chances of them not getting the right thing. I did however get a book. I received Golf Digest's Breaking 100, 90, 80. It hits all areas: tees, fairways, bunkers, pitching, chipping, escape shots, hitting for power and accuracy as well as a section dedicated to fitness. There are a ton of great drills for every level of golfer. I will do a full review when I get a bit more free time.
I did buy some new equipment with my Christmas cash. As per Golfbald's suggestion, I purchased
Ashton Golf's
X-1 3 wood. These guys are really making a name for themselves with their driver winning the 2004 Re/Max World Long Drive Championship with a 426 yard drive.
Here is Goldbald's review on their fairway woods.
