To keep the club squared back and through, you'd have to completely lock your wrists - like a chip with a biiiig backswing.

You'd be further ahead to take a normal shot (like Gord says), but shorten the backswing - try stopping with 1/4 backswing, 1/2 backswing, 3/4 backswings, and note their distances. Then use those distances and backswing stops to gauge your shots.


Swing normally - and watch your shots take your normal shot pattern!
