Here's what we all do:

Sign up for the tournamant. Mail in the 5 or 10 dollar initiation fee with your handicap and course slope and rating and a self addressed stamped envelope for your winnings should you get any. Play your round at your course with an observer. Post your score on the website and we see the results.

If you are without a USGA/Equiv. HDCP, then you elect to play at 80% of your last 5 scores.

Yes, there are advantages to playing later, so don't post until after the playing deadline and before the posting deadline.

Yes, there are problems of different courses having different difficultys, so pick your favorite course and play well.

Yes, there is the possibility of posting a false score. But this is a gentlepersons game and we all know how to play like one.

We pay out the top 30% in a graduated scale. Ties for first could simply split 1st and 2nd place, or they could go to a playoff for another 18 holes...up to the commitee.

Oh, ya. Elect a commitee of 5.

Then, have the dates set and let the games begin!
I love the idea. Good call Stan!
