| Re: The New Pro V1 Is On Its Way! DNA, You would be amazed at the cost of shipping goods, especialy if you get into international shipping. There is a lot of moving parts that go into shipping goods and the customer pays for these parts by packing costs and shipping costs. When you deal with international shipping then at a minimum you are going to have two customs inspections, one depending on the country of origin. Logistics is a complex industry. If you want a in depth scoop on it I can give it to you. I work logistics for the U.S. Marine Corps. I've also been to several other countries (19) and been able to see and train with customs inspectors and also individuals in the freight forwarding business. That's a whole seperate beast in itself. Bottom line. If your package is getting on a plane or boat and it's a bulk item not a flat (letter) it will cost a pretty penny (or pound) whatever you confounded Brits call it. Travis |
