The question you have to ask yourself (and I asked myself the same question) is how is your ball striking?
Are you hitting your
irons cleanly and crisply every time? Do your shots go where you want most of the time? Do you usually find the sweet spot on a club?
If so, the field is yours to play - find something you like to swing and go with that.
If not, stay with your cavity backs (which will forgive you for missing the sweet spot and keep your shots straighter). The main thing is to swing sticks that you like to swing, and like the look of. If you can't stand the look of your
irons, you'll lose confidence every time you see them next to your ball (no kidding).
Hope it helps!
