| Re: Crazy setup change - fantastic results push shots happen because you start your downswing with your body and let your arms and club lag behind. I used to be told that I must have an open clubface to get that result, so I focused on releashing my wrist, and I did just that to early and next thing you know big hooks came out of it.
I read an article by David Leadbetter which explained this, His solution start your downswing by whipping your arms down and pulling the club through to impact with your left side. Just before impact you releash your right side and hit the ball as hard as you can.
I have tried this and it works keeping the club on plane and getting straight and long shots. |
