Smile Which driver?

Hi,this is my first post, been playing golf for just over 2 years now,i've gone from a 28 handicapper to 16.

Currrently still playing with my first set of clubs, john letters which do the job but i would like to invest in a decent driver.

The course i play at isn't long but on 3 or 4 holes you do need a driver.

Extra distance would be ideal also the price needs to be reasonable.

Any idea,s for a decent driver not too keen on huge heads though!
my driver shots tend to turn right ,but i think thats down to my swing not the club

jamie.

Re: Which driver?

not to keen on large heads, well u are pretty much out of luck, no seriously u are, everythign is HUGE now, but go on ebay and look up like a old nike driver, the one before the ignite, its only like 380 ccs and should be a good driver, and u can get it for like under 100$ brand new right now

as for your slicing, they have offset drivers now but i dont know about any offset with small heads

Re: Which driver?

If you're looking for something that isn't too big, Check out the SMT solitaire.

Grab a 2.5 and use it as a driver.

Also, the Ashton X-1D 3 wood would work.

I don't know that you can buy a new driver < 350cc's.

Re: Which driver?

you could look at the older callaway big berthas they do not have a big head and are still very good.

Personnaly i do not understand why you would not want a big headed driver as the sweetspot is increased and you have a better chance of hitting it.
