Reshafting Mid Sur Putter
I'm about to pull the belly shaft out of my Mid Sur, and stick a regular shaft in its place.

Is there any advice I should heed to protect the old shaft for reinsertion (in the event I sell the Mid Sur), and during the installation of the new shaft?

If possible, use a heat gun instead of a gas torch to eliminate heat marks on the head.
