Shafts? I have a few questions about 2 different shafts. I was wondering if someone could tell me the main differences and good or bad things about these two shafts... 1. True Tempo Dynamic Gold steel Shafts 2. Precision Rifle Steel Shafts I am wanting some information on these as these will be either of the shafts I use for my current clubs as I have decided to stick with what TM Burner oversized clubs and put different shafts in them and these are the two I will be using...any info good and bad would be great, thanks in advance!!!! I am getting these put in with the lie/loft adjusted the shafts and grips for 100.00, thanks again

Re: Shafts? Well, these shafts are the two most popular iron shaft. I myself prefer the sleeker look and slightly higher launch of the Rifles, but if your Dynamic Golds have Sensicore, then you certainly can't ignore their vibration damping effects. I'd say that if the guy making them for you is Rifle Certified (or at the very least understands how to use the freqcalc.jar program at the Rifle website), go Rifle. It's much easier (IMO) to get a flex more suited to your game in Rifles.

| Re: Shafts? I currently have both types of shaft in my playing sets. The rifles(5.0) are in my SMT irons and the DGs(R300) are in my blades. Overall I prefer the Dynamic Golds as I have a high ball flight and they keep it down a bit. That said ,the rifles are a quality shaft. I'm not that keen on sensicore but if you want vibration dampening this can be added to any of the shafts very easily with these inserts from MyOstrichGolf http://www.myostrichgolf.com/clubmak...roducts_id=613 I will be changing my rilfes for Dynamic Golds next season as they are my favoured shaft. Have you considered the Apollo hump shaft? http://www.myostrichgolf.com/clubmak...roducts_id=233 I've heard some very good feedback on them.

Re: Shafts? Well I appreciate all the responses so far but keep them coming the more info I have to work with the more of a better educated guess I can choose from... One other question, would a person that is a beginner, only been playing 5-7 months, really be able to tell the difference between the 2 shafts?

Re: Shafts? I think so yes, Rifles are definitely harder feeling shafts you will probably notice a distinct difference in feel to True Tempers, again you may like the difference, I personally dont, thats all. I find that Rifle shafts in regular flex feel like they play stiffer than regular flex dynamic gold. D.
