| Rookie clubmaking questions Hey Guys, What a great sight. After reading a little, I would like to put together a driver and a couple of wedges. Can anyone reccomend a sight to purchase Wishon driver heads, and smt wedge heads. Also maybe a good place online to purchase shafts. Will they cut the shaft the length I request and then spine it? I play Call. x-16 graph. Should I try to match the same flex in the driver and wedges? I play to about a 25, dont know my swing speed but could find out. I know this is a ton of questions, and if I am heading in the wrong direction please advise....... Thanks in advance |

| Re: Rookie clubmaking questions Hi msp, I'm going to assume you're American. In this case, I would point you to www.myostrichgolf.com Tim and his crew are top notch. They'll have the SMT wedge heads available right on the website, but I think you have to call him to discuss Wishon. He'll even go so far as to trim your shafts whichever way you like, so that you open the box and epoxy everything together - no muss, no fuss. However, you will pay for shaft prep (and why would you expect not to?) You might head to http://www.twgolftech.com/fitters/ to find a Wishon clubmaker who is local to you. S/he may also carry SMT lines. They may be willing to sell you the components for a small markup. If you get really, really jammed up, I've got accounts with both SMT and Wishon, and I source my graphite shafts through Aggressive (and other stuff through myclubmaker.com). I'll help you out.
