Aldila NV 65 X-Flex shaft

Just wondering if anyone can give me any details on this shaft, would it be good for a scratch golfer? I am using a Grafalloy Blue Prolaunch 65 X-Flex at the moment and am hitting the ball wat too HIGH, will the Aldila NV give me the lower ball flight I'm after?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Adz.

It might. If you really want to bring your trajectory down, you need to switch lofts.

Re: Aldila NV 65 X-Flex shaft

I'm using a 9.5 degree Nike Ignite. I don't mind a high ball flight with the driver but with the Grafalloy it baloons up in the air and I'm loosing distance, I just need a shaft that will flatten the trajectory a little.

Well, try something high kick, and tip stiff.

Like an AccuFLEX Evolution S.

Re: Aldila NV 65 X-Flex shaft

Is there a way to make the tip stiff on the Aldila NV and what tip flex is the NV?

Thanks for your help so far LowPost!

Re: Aldila NV 65 X-Flex shaft

Well, I've got some great shaft profiling software. I compared the NV X to the AccuFLEX Evolution in both R and S flexes.

The NV is the most butt stiff of the 3 (but I don't know that it'll be perceptible).

They all report the same tip stiffness (in other words, crazy stiff).

Give it a try - I think you'll like it. If it doesn't feel stiff enough, move to the Evolution S - it's stiffer through the middle than the other two shafts. In other words, it's harder to load.

Re: Aldila NV 65 X-Flex shaft

Thanks heaps LowPost, that's just the information I was looking for. I've heard that the Aldila was a stiff tip shaft but just wasnt sure. By the way how can I get the shaft profiling software? It might be interesting.
