| Re: SMT Irons Sounds like 'firm' (regular tipped a little more) would be ok. If you go stiffer, you'll drop some distance, if you go weaker, you'll drop some accuracy. The other thing about 'bend point' or 'tip stiffness' is about how high you want your ball flight (assuming you have a late release). A stiff tip or high bend point shaft will help keep the ball flight down. A soft tip or low bend point shaft will get the ball up. |

| Re: SMT Irons hi lowpost i do hit the ball high and i can hit ball low if i need to with loss of some distance, i think i want ball more on fairway than longer in rough so will take your advice and go for a stiff shaft but go with a mid bend point as i have no problem hitting high shots. i do hit the short irons nice and high and get a distance i'm happy with too, have been told new clubs should be about 10 yards longer as there is a little less loft per club thanks again for your help bill ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
