there is certainly a need for custom made clubs! i started playing a couple of years ago and got some off the rack mizuno cavity back irons and they were good but i kept reading how custom fitted equipment was essential to enable you to play your best i had a set of irons made a couple of months ago and the results are brilliant instilled real confidence in my game ![]() |

| Re: The need for Custom made Clubs Oh yes there is a big demand for custom-made clubs and club fitting. It could be a very interesting and rewarding career - I know a few club fitters. Just stick with quality and reputable components and you'll be fine. |

| Re: The need for Custom made Clubs I'm late to the party, but love the conversation! Yes, if you're going to be semi serious (or more) about your golf, get fitted clubs. If you're going to hack around a couple times a year, don't bother. GJS has a good point that cannot be overlooked, however: Equipment is not a magic bullet. It cannot give you Tiger's game. Now, equipment (the right equipment) can certainly minimize your flaws. The wrong equipment can exacerbate your flaws, and get you making major swing changes to compensate for it, too. Enjoy GTO. And get your clubs fit.
