Re: Aldila NV vs NVS The NVS is the slightly softer, slightly higher torque brother of the NV. Most players will tell you it's definitely softer - I've read plenty of reports of players equating the NVS X with the NV S. However, shaft profiling graphs show the shafts to be just that - the NVS slightly softer than the NV. The thing that largely differentiates FW shafts from Driver shafts is that FW shafts tend to be heavier.

Re: Aldila NV vs NVS Another question for Lowpost. Apart from cost, what's the difference between an Aldila NVS and an Aldila TM70 shaft. I'm thinking of getting (the wife to buy) a new hybrid that comes in both specs, am I likely to be able to tell the difference?

Re: Aldila NV vs NVS I have NV shafts in my driver and 3 wood. When I tested a bunch, there was a definite difference between the NV and the NVS with the NVS producing a higher ball flight and feeling a lot whippier. Note too sure of the TM70, but if the 70 indicates weight then that's a fairly light shaft for a hybrid which would make it a good ladies shaft.

Re: Aldila NV vs NVS I'm with BRS - I haven't heard to much about the TM70. Like BRS, I'd assume 70 stands for the weight - which is certainly light, as shafts go. Either way, I think she'll be fine.
