| Hello JakeRoe All of us want to be more consistent, unfortunately golf is a game of misses (qouted by Dr. Rotella) A primary reason for your inconsistency in shotmaking, can be that your tempo changes everyday. Without good tempo and rythm you throw your timing off causing all of the shots that you just described. All of this can be causd by incorrect grip pressure. The tighter your muscles the slower your swing and alot of tension is evident in your swing, the looser your muscles, you gain more freedom in your swing, and above all more consistency When gripping the golf club use yourlast three fingers of your left hand and two finger right hand to hold the club, if you use your hands to hold the club you will feel tension in your your forearms and this progresses all the way to the torso, inhibitng a good rythmic swing. Here is something that you can try, take a hold of a golf club then squeeze it as hard as you can rate that at a 10, then hold it as light as you can call that a 1 use about a 4-5 in grip pressure.Tell me if this helps, Go Low:-)
