Question Hole Handicap

On the scorecard..each hole has a handicap. If the handicap for a hole is 1..does this mean its the hardest hole on the course? And the 2 handicap is the second hardest and so on?Thanks

Re: Hole Handicap

Aaaah.... the pond. It makes everything different.

Yes, spankit, the hole index is hardest to easiest, 1 to 18.

Slater, across the pond, you call it a stroke index. IIUC, you also have a standard scratch score (SSS), while we have a course slope and course rating.

No apologies necessary.

I love how this colloquialism just doesn't seem to translate into the written word.
