| Re: Lee Trevino Well perhaps McAlpine thought as others did that Trevino was the joker, and would have accepted. But i have watched Trevino a few times ,he is a pure professional when actually doing his job.On the tee he jokes with the crowd, but once over the shot he is deadly serious. He was one of my idols, and he once said that he was the only player on tour, who swung the club,"sq to sq". He maintained where ever the back of the left hand faced at impact, thats where the ball would go.I always followed that, and tried to maintain that position as long as possible towards the target, after impact. I owe alot of my 'early good golf to him, getting down to a 5 handicap. cheers |
