Re: Will Monty win a major before the end of his career?

No, he will never win on US soil. Monty has talent, but there is something about playing over here he just can't seem to handle. Don't think he will win the Open either.

Re: Will Monty win a major before the end of his career?

I've not followed Monty too much this season, and this weeks BMW Championship at Wentworth may provider a pointer, but he could do well in this years US Open at Oakmont. He lost in playoff to Ernie in 1994, so he knows the course. He is fitter than he was in 1994, this season he says he has more distance. It is just whether he can get over last years missed opportunity. I think he can, he's a strong minded.

He didn't fair well at the BMW this week, barely made the cut. Seems to be playing a little erratic these days

Re: Will Monty win a major before the end of his career?

Just looked and at the BA-CA Open after two rounds Monty is tied for 62nd place and 14 of the pace. He hasn't done well for quite some time this year.

+6 so far today. Not looking good for him or Sergio.

He's doing well so far in Tulsa.

-1 after 10.

Just hope he keeps it up and his fitness can stand the heat.

GO MONTY LAD!

GO MONTY. I'd love it if he won his first major. I get the feeling when he retires he will be haunted by all those 2nd place finishes.

I heard is bust size shrunk 2 cups during the round due to the heat. On his way to wal-mart to get a new sports bra now.

Monty finished +2 for the day. Currently 7 strokes back. I don't think he will be able to sustain anything in this kind of heat.
