Re: Callaway or TaylorMade

Where's the 'you can't fool me into overspending on OEM stuff' option?

Otherwise, I'd side with Eli.

Re: Callaway or TaylorMade

Generally, I'd say Callaway ... but, and there always is a "but" isn't there? ... after hitting Ian Hancock's Burner driver over the weekend I'm VERY tempted to get one. It was awesome.

I'll go for Callaway irons and fairway woods and a Burner driver then - a sort of compromise position.

Great day,

Ian.
I understand the TM Burner has a longer than standard shaft? Can you notice the difference? I've heard good things about this club but still swaying towards a Superquad.

Re: Callaway or TaylorMade

Hi Davie,

Must say it's a great club, longer about a thumb nail thats all, but the head looks quite large so the shaft looks rather short, when you hit it you will notice on thing....................it's longer (the ball that is)

I have the 3 wood also, another great club................I am very happy with both.

The choice is yours as Slats has the Quad, great looking club but not as pleasing on my eye as the Burner.

Ian.

Cheers Ian

My club is hosting a Taylormade demo day in a couple of weeks so i'll give both of them a try. May possible sway towards the burner if its that good especially as its £40 cheaper.

Re: Callaway or TaylorMade

Well this one is a tough one as both makes are good stuff.

I was sold on the callaway right from the start with hitting my x 18 irons but after trying and buying taylor made big stuff then it has to be the latter.

Still Have the CBG irons on my xmas list but this will not be for a few years yet as if I got a brand new set of irons the misses will be in the deforce courts before you could say taylormade.

Cheers
Mark

Re: Callaway or TaylorMade

Next driver will be Skymax Pulse given that it outcarried the Callawa and Nike squares in the Today's Golfer test, and I swear by my Skymax hybrids wih Grafalloy HyLite shafts.

That will be after a set of Ping i3's though. Strange that this poll has such limited options?

Re: Callaway or TaylorMade

hi
i agree bulldog that the poll would of been better if the top 5 or even 10 club makers were included.
