| Re: bunker shot Well the first thing you need is a good SW with at least 10 degrees of bounce unless you are playing hard compacted sand. General rule, the fluffier the sand the more bounce you need. Second, you have probably heard the standard setup, open stance, open clubface, ball forward, which is correct, but most overdue this advise, don't go overboard here, just a little open in stance and face, play the ball about where you would a long iron, make a moderate swing, swinging hard will negate the bounce and make you dig into the sand, you don't want to dig, think more slide the club under the ball, let the sand throw the ball out. Give that a try see if it helps. Good luck |
