| Re: The GTO Open Golf Day (UK Summer 2007 Tour) We should get them up here to drink proper beer, or better still everyone must drink a can of beer before teeing off on each hole think us northerners might just get to the eighteenth in better shape and possibly a better score card ![]() Really looking forward to it, has anyone got a link to view the course, I have looked at the card but the few pics I have seen are all of trees and water ![]() Is that a bad omen |

| Re: The GTO Open Golf Day (UK Summer 2007 Tour) All good stuff mate, really looking forward to it, I am on holiday from today for two weeks, playing Friday hence can't stop over. Have you played it before? I have played it once and it was loooong but very enjoyable, plenty of room on most fairways for a wayward shot, a bit of water, I think it will just be a good day for all. I have walked it when the British Masters was held there two years ago, so it will be good to follow it their footsteps again. I have a PC at home so I will be in touch after today. Ian.

ive played the arden course once before i too found it long but quite forgiving. think my game is in better shape than it was then! just looking to have a good day not bothered if i score 90 or 190 enjoy you hols ![]() |

| Re: The GTO Open Golf Day (UK Summer 2007 Tour) The Arden is the Championship course, that we should be playing, with the two par 5s that share the green and the 200+yd last over the pond. You are right it is long so don't expect to burn it up, the greens will kill most due to the speed, like you say it's good fun to play a bigggy Ian. |

| Re: The GTO Open Golf Day (UK Summer 2007 Tour) 7000 plus yards ![]() If I was joining you I'd have to wear the blonde wig, falsies and a skirt in order to play off the Reds. Blonde wig, falsies and a skirt just like any Saturday night down here in the Shandy drinking sarf. |
