I have never played the Derby course, I assume it is not quite as good as the others but is far more reasonably priced... we will still have fun

I am struggling with dates around August... the best for me seems to be Sat 18th how does this fit in with everyone and what are your thoughts on the price for the Derby course?

Also: The Derby course does not require a handicap certificate, whereas the other two courses do! will this help anyone?

Hotel Room Prices:
Single Occupancy - £149
Twin Occupancy - £169
Hi Greg that sounds great to mee too so count me in well I have been in from the start lol.

Also greg did you read in July's Todays golfer as it has an article in there about the Brabazon course and how they are doing ground changes to it in August. Just lucky you didn't book anything for it as we would have probably been playing on temp greens.

Cheers
Mark

Hi Greg Mate,
Please count me in on this and as soon as you get hotel costs could you let me know.

Also if anyone wants a lift from my area (Northwest) then I am happy to accomodate if they need one.

Re: UK

Guy's,

The afternoon tee bookings had gone when I phoned this morning... I created a bit of a fuss and they have reserved the early morning bookings for me until close of business tomorrow...

The tee times are:

0718
0727
0736
0745
0754

So I am thinking of staying the friday night somewhere close by if anyone fancy's meeting the night before for a get together... may stay the Saturday night too

Apparently they will do a deal for room etc on site if we are playing the next day. But you can bet that it still wont be cheap. They are to come back to me with a price... I think I will look at room prices in nearby hotels also...

Is this still ok with everyone?

Tee times are fine with me and I would like 0754 as rather play in the morning (More time for beers later on). If you are struggling for hotel rooms I too will be travelling down the night before and plan to on friday stay in
The Manor Hotel

Main Road , Meriden (nr Coventry/Birmingham) CV7 7NH
It is currently £68 including breakfast. For the Saturday it goes up to £88.

Should I book my room for friday?

Cheers

Re: Uk

Mark,

As long as all agree that they are ok with these times I am going to pay the deposit tomorrow afternoon...

I will likely be staying up there on the friday, otherwise it would have to be a very early depart on the Sat
