Please post pictures that are closer, my eyes are old and can't see any detail. I short video would be even better.

Ian,

I would suggest taking the bend out of your knees. Stand with straight legs, bend at the ball and socket joints and then bend the knees to just relieve the pressure. You will be in a better setup position and have a more on plane turn.
