Hi Frank,
I noticed a few things in your video:
1.: it appears that you are coming too far on the outside during your takeaway. This is causing problems further through your swing. First thing is that if you pause your swing as your club is parallel to the ground, you will see your club is aligned left of the target line. You should be parallel with your target line at the same time you are parallel with the ground.
2. it also appears like you fade or slice the ball - is this correct? The reason I say that is because when you get to the top of your backswing, you do not drop your arms at the start of your downswing. This is causing you to come over the top from outside-in, which plagues 95% of the golfing world.
3. try to keep your left leg more quiet (still) during your backswing. Doing this will build more coil creating more power.
4. you are reaching just a little bit - from the angle you showed, your arms should be straight down from your shoulders. In your stance, let your arms hang loose, palms up. Set your club in your left hand and the grip with your right (without moving your left hand from the relaxed poition.) This is the distance you should be from the ball, otherwise you are reaching for it, another source of lost power.)
Don't be discouraged - these are problems that almost every amatuer golfer at one time or another.
On to the good points!!! It appears like you have a solid technique. You transfer your weight without swaying (or so it appears - hard to tell without a video showing the front of your body during your swing), your head is behind the ball during impact and your angle during your backswing all look really good. Your hips are clearing and you finish position is really strong. You appear to have good flexability (shoulders are getting to 90* and hips are just under 45*), just keep practicing!!!

Thanks for the reply, since posting this i downloaded cswing and started comparing my swing, and i right away noticed i was reaching, which i think I was doing because someone had told me to do so.. so much for that.. I also noticed my bad takeaway, i had no idea i was coming out that much! In point number 2, you mention me not dropping my arms at the beginning of my downswing, I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. What am I doing, and what should I be doing instead? I think I'll go hit some balls tommorow and setup the camera again..
Thanks again for the reply, much appreciated..
