That's nasty looking! Don't be afraid to get back out there - the odds of it happening the first time are extremely high - the odds of getting hit twice aren't even computable.
I've been close to being hit on the fly more times than I can count on my finger and toes, but so far I have been lucky. I've been hit after the ball has bounced a few times, but those don't leave marks, so I don't really think it counts.
